What this site does, plainly.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no account system, no client portal, and no login. We do not ask for account numbers, identity documents, or financial details anywhere on this site, and there is no database behind it in which such information could be stored.

The contact form does not submit anywhere. It assembles the text you type into a message and opens it in your own email application, which you then choose whether to send. Nothing you type is transmitted to or retained by this website. If your browser has no email application configured, nothing will happen when you press the button — in that case, please write to us directly using the address on the contact page.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. The strategy comparison tool and the news feed keep their most recent results in your browser’s session storage so they do not have to be re-fetched as you move around the site; that data never leaves your device and is discarded when you close the tab. The market ticker described below is a third-party embed and does set its own cookies.

Third-party services

Several parts of this site are provided by other companies. Where your browser contacts them directly, they will receive your IP address and standard request information, and their own privacy policies apply rather than ours.

TradingView — market ticker

The live market ticker fixed to the bottom of every page is an embedded TradingView widget. It loads from TradingView’s servers, sets its own cookies, and is governed by TradingView’s privacy policy. It is decorative: if you block it, the rest of the site works normally and shows a short “unavailable” message in its place.

Google Fonts

Typefaces are served from Google’s font hosts, so your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads. The site remains legible if those requests are blocked; it falls back to typefaces already on your device.

Vercel — hosting and analytics

The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes server logs as part of delivering it. We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is aggregate and cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across other websites.

Market data and news sources

Historical price data for the strategy comparison tool, and the headlines on the news feed, are fetched by our own server rather than by your browser, so those providers do not see your visit. Prices come from public market data providers and headlines are aggregated from public news sources.

The comparison on the financial tools page is a hypothetical, backtested calculation for illustrative purposes only. It does not represent actual investment results, does not account for trading costs, bid-ask spreads, state taxes, or individual tax circumstances, and is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Past performance does not indicate future results. NCH / 1918 Capital is not providing investment, tax, or legal advice.

Both sides of the comparison use adjusted closing prices, which assume dividends are reinvested without tax. Dividend and income taxes are not modeled on either side. The tax rate is an input you control and defaults to an assumption, not to your actual rate.

The companies and properties named under investment areas are partial, illustrative lists. No ownership share, cost, size, valuation, allocation, or performance information is stated or implied, and nothing there is a recommendation to buy or sell any security or property. Property images are architectural renderings, not photographs of completed buildings.

Company names, logos, and marks belong to their respective owners. Where a partner or portfolio company logo appears, it identifies a firm we work with or have backed; it does not imply that firm endorses, sponsors, or recommends us.

News headlines

Headlines on the news feed are aggregated automatically from public sources and link to the original publisher. We do not write, commission, verify, endorse, or control third-party reporting, and its appearance here is not a recommendation. Coverage is refreshed weekly, so an item may have been superseded by the time you read it.
